In the draw
Tucked under tamarisk
Mother chewing nearby
The calf takes in
The Big Sky
Stretching beyond the horizon
Stretching beyond any imagination
Pointing an accusing finger at
Jupiter’s moons, the milky way
A black hole suggesting
Something, someone who
Shaped its gravitational forces
The sun sets before
The youth’s sleepy eyes
Closing before the universe
Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
